Life can feel difficult to make sense of when emotional stress, behavioral challenges, or family dynamics begin affecting your daily life. You do not have to work through it alone. As a licensed therapist in Illinois, I provide compassionate, culturally aware support for individuals and families navigating complex emotional and behavioral experiences.
My approach combines honesty, structure, and practical guidance to help clients better understand patterns, build healthier coping strategies, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence. In addition to therapy services, I also provide structured behavioral health evaluations for individuals, agencies, and referral-based needs.

Early in my career, I worked closely with children and families in the foster care system, where I saw how delayed access to effective care can deepen the impact of trauma, instability, and ongoing stress.
Those experiences continue to shape my work. As a trauma-informed therapist, I help you make sense of what you have been carrying and build tools that support real change. You are not broken. You may be carrying more than others realize, and you deserve tools that help you move forward with more clarity and confidence.
Some situations call for more than general guidance.
EXPERIENCE WITH COMPLEX CASES
Mental health care is still widely misunderstood. In many Black and Brown communities, seeking professional help can carry stigma or feel like something you are expected to handle privately. People are often taught to lean only on faith, family, or other informal sources of care, even when more structured help is needed.
I deeply respect the role of faith, family, and community. At the same time, there are moments when clear, professional care matters. I take your background and lived experience seriously. I do not treat your reality like a problem to fix. I use that context along with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you better understand yourself and build a steadier way forward.
